Healing the Earth, Healing Ourselves with Dori Midnight from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM

In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore our interconnectedness with each other and the earth, at a time in which our very survival, as a species and as a planet, seems to hang in the balance. Come and learn powerful skills, processes, and tools for healing the land and ourselves, that address issues such as histories of stolen land and toxic exposure. We will participate in exercises that help us to experience our responses to our present situation and empower us to move forward in healing and restoring our world.

Herbal Medicine Making with Jade Alicandro from 1:00-4:00 PM

In this afternoon workshop we’ll focus on plant identification, hands-on herbal medicine-making, and guidelines for wild-crafting, harvesting and drying your own herbs. After an herb walk around Montview Farm, we’ll explore the process for creating truly “localvore” medicine- herbal mead and herbal ghee (clarified butter). Using all, truly local ingredients, together we’ll create some powerful medicine that we can use to contribute to the health of ourselves and communities! Participants will all leave with an herbal product made together in class!
