USGBC Presence Expands into Western Mass

PRESS RELEASE – Western MA – The U. S. Green Building Council Massachusetts Chapter <http://www.usgbcma.org/>  now has a presence in Western Mass! The Lake Hitchcock Committee <http://usgbcmalhc.drupalgardens.com/>  is organizing activities that provide education and community outreach on green building, and support sustainable building professionals in Western Mass. This is an exciting development for our industry and our region so get involved in whatever way you can!

The mission of the USGBC MA Chapter is to promote the design, construction, and operation of sustainable buildings and communities. Through education, mutual support, and advocacy we enable an
environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life. The Lake Hitchcock Committee <http://usgbcmalhc.drupalgardens.com/> , soon to be a branch, brings this mission to our local area.

Please join us by:

2.       Join us at one of our next webinar events <http://www.usgbcma.org/events_calendar>  on LEED topics such as LEED for Existing Buildings, Operations & Maintenance <http://usgbcmalhc.drupalgardens.com/content/leed-operations-maintenance-webinar-series> ; Costs & Benefits; Successful Implementation; Multi-Family Properties; and Strategies for Higher-Ed Campuses. GBCI, AIA/CES education credits can be earned for each webinar and they are free to MA Chapter members or cost $10 for each webinar.  The webinars are hosted on Wednesdays starting at 4:00pm by UMass Amherst and you can
