INTER-dependence day community healing for tornado victims

(Sent out by Kristin Avonti of Be Karma in Northampton, MA) “When tragedy like this hits home, it affects ALL of us. From those who lost something, or everything, to those who lost their life. From the emergency and relief workers who give of themselves endlessly, to those who stand in shock, unable to move. From those who feel the call to action to rise up and be part of the healing, to those who think they will never feel safe again.

The destruction I have seen in the aftermath of the tornado is the most surreal thing I have ever witnessed first hand. But the healing, community and support I have witnessed in the time since, is the most breathtaking and awe-inspiring I have ever imagined. In the alchemy of transformation, this recent disaster has given rise to the rebirth of the heart of humanity. Out of the ashes of destruction, our collective heart and inter-dependent common-unity has risen.

I would like to cordially invite you to be a part of our “Inter-dependence day community healing” event.

On July 3rd (location in the springfield area to be determined this week), we will come together, as a community, to help heal all those affected by the recent disaster. We are looking for healing arts practitioners (massage therapists, reiki practitioners, reflexologists, acupuncturists, energy healers, plant spirit medicine healers, healers of all modalities and walks of life) to offer their services for the day to the communities affected by this disaster. And we are looking for mental health professionals or interested individuals to offer support, talk to individuals, or run support groups. If you aren’t called to offer a service but want to be present, come show your support to those affected. Bring your open heart, your prayers and your stories. Let’s honor the victims and communities and show them where the heart of humanity lies. Let’s raise them up in love and light and bring about the healing change we all so desperately seek.
