New Farmers’ Market in North Amherst, MA
Where: parking lot of WATROBAS MARKET, 81 Sunderland Road, in North Amherst Center
When: every Saturday, 9am to 2pm
Demand for local produce has been steadily increasing, but it has been very difficult for many small farms to gain access to the more populated Farmers’ Markets. These farms continue to struggle, despite the fact that there is a growing need to connect the farms to the public. To help solve this problem, a group of small family farms and a local grocery store have gotten together to help bridge the gap between residents and their local food supply.
The North Amherst Farmers’ Market features a complete line of Fruits, Vegetables, Greens, Herbs, Animal Products, Jams, Honey, Eggs, Ice Cream and more! The market also features a farm animal display for children (and the young at heart), vintage farm equipment, and a rotating schedule of local musicians to provide musical entertainment. Local coffee, breads, and made to order deli sandwiches are also available on site, as well as plenty of free parking. The goal of market organizers is to offer a complete line of local products in a fun, family friendly environment.
The North Amherst Farmers’ Market is located in the parking lot of WATROBAS MARKET, 81 Sunderland Road, in North AmherstCenter. The market runs every SATURDAY, from 9am till 2pm.
