Springfield Tornado Disaster Relief

PRESS RELEASE Springfield Partners and The Food Bank conducted  a very successful distribution on Friday serving over 90 households to make sure folks hade food along with personal care items at least for the weekend.

From what we are seeing and hearing folks in the Maple High and lower Old Hill are not receiving direct assistance unless they are in shelters. Many folks did not and could not leave their homes, so we went to where the folks are taking food, water and personal items. It is heart breaking and as we know this area is the home of so many poor and very low income folks. Due to the response and identified need, we will be doing another distribution on Monday 6/6 @ 2:30 in our back parking lot. Volunteers and donations are needed. Donations can be dropped off at Springfield Partners, 721 State Street starting at 8:30 am and volunteers just show up at 2:pm.
