Long Term Disaster Recovery, Putting the pieces Together

Long Term Recovery members attending this meeting will participate in creating a dynamic functional group that will step up the recovery process for survivors with unmet needs.  We will create a mission statement that will sets the tone for how we will operate leaning on the talents, abilities and functions of the agencies and organizations participating. In this session we will share how donated material and funds can be allocated to help the most in need. Organizations will leave this meeting with a clearer understanding how FEMA, the State and National VOAD can support the emerging group. Most importantly the attendees will gain an understanding our shared purpose and how we can work together keeping our own organizational missions intact.

The next step after ” Long Term Recovery, Putting the pieces Together” will be to bring in our National VOAD partners from Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Lutheran Disaster Services, Methodist Disaster Services and others who will provide us with a full day of training to help us accelerate the help we want to offer the people affected in this disaster.
