River Valley Market will donate 5% of sales on June 22

12The co-op will donate 5% of our sales on June 22 to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts Tornado Response effort. This will include sales at the Strawberry Ice Cream Social that evening, and we will also accept cash donations for the Food Bank’s Tornado Response at the Social.

They raised more than $3,000!5 percent for tornado relief

Last Wednesday, June 22nd, River Valley market pledged to donate 5% of the day’s sales, including sales from our 3rd Annual Strawberry Ice Cream Social, to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts Tornado Response.

The 5% totaled $1,906, and we added a donation of $1,500 from the co-op in honor of Austin Miller and the winners of the annual Austin Miller Co-op Hero Awards.

This year’s Austin Miller Co-op Hero Award winners included (individual) Apple Ahearn, (non-profit) Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA), and (cooperative) Pedal People. Congratulations to all!

United Way of the Pioneer Valley
